Iverson Drops 15 in Turkish Debut

Former Sixers star Allen Iverson scored 15 points in his debut for Besiktas Cola Turka.

The dispatched former NBA All-Star failed to carry his team to victory against Hemofarm Stada. Hemofarm Stada defeated Besiktas 94-91 in a European Cup game on Tuesday in Istanbul.

Turkish fans shouted “Allen Iverson, the son of Besiktas Cola Turka” during the game.

Without any offers from any NBA teams, A.I. opted to sign a two-year, $4-million deal with the Istanbul team.

Many see his Turkish stint as an attempt to revive his NBA career. Last season the former 76ers top pick played 25 games in his second stint with the team before leaving to attend to family issues.
