Iverson Wants 3rd Chance in the NBA

But does anyone want "The Answer?"

“I want to return to the NBA this season, and help any team that wants me, in any capacity that they feel that I can help,” Allen Iverson Tweeted Monday.

Well considering how Iverson’s seemingly diminished skill set and personal troubles, he could be hard pressed to find a team willing to “Answer” his call.

Amidst much fanfare, and tears, A.I. rejoined the Sixers -- the team where he spent 11 seasons as the face of the franchise -- after a brief retirement last December.

After just a few weeks Iverson was struggling with injuries and personal problems. He took time away from the team to tend to his ill daughter Messiah. She is now “doing very well,” Iverson’s manager Gary Moore told AP.

And after suiting up just 25 times for the Sixers, Iverson’s second tour of duty with the franchise was over. He only managed about 32 minutes, four assists and 14 points per game while out there. A far cry from the 42-plus minutes, seven assists and almost 30 points he averaged per game in his heyday.

Days after leaving the 76ers it was revealed that Iverson’s wife Tawanna was asking for a divorce.

Now “The Answer” wants another chance to prove that he still has something left in the tank.

“I'm disappointed, and I owe my fans more than what they have seen of me the last couple seasons,” A.I. Tweeted. “However, now that my family is healthy and rock solid, I can concentrate fully on doing what I do best!”
