Getting Their MoJo Back

The Colts are finally out of the gate, the Jaguars get their Mojo back after a ride in a Marcedes, while two consecutive stellar weeks make it all about Johnson & Johnson. Let's look at the most memorable and forgettable performances of the week that was.

Top 5 QBs:
1. Drew Brees - 320 Yds, 3 TDs - Brees added to his gaudy yardage total for the season, as he went over the 300-yard mark for the fourth consecutive game in a near flawless performance, tossing just four incompletions.

2. Philip Rivers - 306 Yds, 3 TDs - Rivers has shown that he's capable of carrying the Chargers on his back, with Tomlinson suffering from a nagging toe injury - 14 passing TDs thus far in '08.

3. Tony Romo - 321 Yds, 3 TDs, 1 FL - Romo was helped out by the big play on Sunday, as he connected on two touchdowns over 50 yards.

4. Peyton Manning - 271 Yds, 3 TDs - Good 'ole Mr. Reliable was back in action, as it finally looks like Manning owners can let out a collective, "whew".

5. Aaron Rodgers - 208 Yds, 2 TDs, 23 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD - It's always a beautiful day in the neighborhood when Mr. Rodgers can deliver a fantasy performance like this.

Top 5 RBs:

1. Maurice Jones-Drew - 125 Rush Yds, 2 TDs, 2 Rec, 23 Rec Yds - MJD showed just how dominant he can be when given the chance - pounding it in from a yard out, while also exploding for a 46-yard score.

2. Clinton Portis - 129 Rush Yds, 2 TDs, 1 Rec, 14 Rec Yds - If you're counting, this makes two consecutive weeks for CP in the top 5, as he is the lone constant in the Redskins offense.

3. Thomas Jones - 65 Rush Yds, 2 TDs, 3 Rec, 13 Rec Yds, 1 TD - Jones owners should soak this in because it has become a rare occurrence in the past two seasons; Jones eclipsed his touchdown output for all of 2007 and 2008-to-date in Sunday's performance.

4. Patrick Cobbs - 0 Rush Yds, 3 Rec, 138 Rec Yds, 2 TDs - I can't remember the last time a running back with zero rushing yards made the Top 5. Apparently tricks are not just for kids in Tony Sparano's "Wildcat" offense.

5. Correll Buckhalter - 93 Rush Yds, 1 TD, 7 Rec, 85 Rec Yds - Buckhalter delivered a Brian Westbrook-esque performance on Sunday, making him a must own handcuff option for Westbrook owners.

Top 5 WRs:

1. Andre Johnson - 10 Rec, 178 Yds, 1 TD, 1 FL - 19 receptions in the past two weeks have AJ owners drooling over just how dominant he can be at times.

2. Marvin Harrison - 3 Rec, 83 Yds, 2 TDs - It was refreshing to see Manning and Harrison back on the same page, as Marvin showed he still has some wheels by hauling in a 67-yard score.

3. Vincent Jackson - 5 Rec, 134 Yds, 1 TD - Jackson is quietly putting together a very solid season (436 Yds, 2 TDs).

4. Bernard Berrian - 5 Rec, 131 Yds, 1 TD - Who would've thought that Frerotte to Berrian would turn into such a lethal combination?

5. Reggie Wayne - 8 Rec, 118 Yds, 1 TD - Wayne and Harrison back in the Top 5 together, reminiscent of two seasons ago.

Top 5 TEs:

1. Marcedes Lewis - 3 Rec, 64 Yds, 1 TD - At 6'6'' and 275 lbs, Lewis has the ability to be a mismatch for corners and safeties. Sunday he showed a glimpse of what made him a first-round pick in '06.

2. Alex Smith - 3 Rec, 43 Yds, 1 TD - Smith is capable of having games like this, but also just as likely to have a game with no catches, making him a hit-or-miss option.

3. Mark Campbell - 3 Rec, 37 Yds, 1 TD - Sometimes there aren't enough balls to go around for Campbell in the talented Saints offense, but Sunday was a case of Drew Brees spreading out the football to nine different receivers.

4. Antonio Gates - 4 Rec, 35 Yds, 1 TD - Would like to see a few more yards from Gates, but a touchdown is definitely an encouraging sign.

5. John Carlson - 4 Rec, 22 Yds, 1 TD - Frye to Carlson? I wouldn't get too caught up with this performance.
