Dave "The Hammer" Schultz racked up 472 penalty minutes in the 74-75 NHL season--which means more than six minutes per game.
We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty sure it’d be a hoot to eat a fancy dinner alongside the man who holds the NHL record for most penalty minutes in a season.
Dave “The Hammer” Schultz, a former Flyer and member of the infamous Broad Street Bullies team of the 70s, still maintains that record--more than 30 years after racking up 427 penalty minutes in a single season.
He won’t be dropping the gloves Tuesday, March 24, however. Instead, he’ll be attending a special four-course wine-paired dinner event at Positano Coast (212 2nd St.). Doors will open at 6 p.m., for a reception with prosecco and hors d’oeurves followed by the dinner.
Tickets to the event are $75, and proceeds will be donated to Katie’s Krusaders. Act fast--some spaces still remain! Call Positano Coast at 215.238.0499 for more information.
