Brown Mills, N.J. native Matt Emmons failed to qualify for the Finals in the Men’s 10-Meter Air Rifle competition Monday morning.

Emmons, a two-time Olympic medalist in shooting, finished near the bottom of the 47-man competition (35th place) after posting a 590 and 42 inner 10’s in qualifiers. He needed a score of 596 to make the finals.

Fellow American Jonathan Hall finished 27th with a 592/42.
