Camp Confidential: Lindley Just Wants to Get on the Field

Each day of Eagles training camp NBCPhiladelphia.com will focus on different Bird trying to soar at Lehigh.

Trevard Lindley is getting his feet wet at his first NFL training camp.

“It’s still kind of weird being up here,” said Lindley upon his arrival at Lehigh University on Monday. “It feels pretty good so far.”

The 6-foot cornerback told us he felt great after his first practice Tuesday and that the NFL definitely moves a lot quicker -- even in practice -- than in college at Kentucky.

His plan for training camp:

“Go out there and make some plays… hopefully get a couple interceptions.”

But the Birds’ fourth-round draft pick knows that even though his goal is to be a starter at defensive back that he would gladly settle for a roster spot.

“I’m just trying to get on the field.”

With long time starting corner Sheldon Brown being sent away to Cleveland during the off-season, Lindley could get that shot sooner rather than later.
