Eagles Schedule Doesn't Start With Redskins

McNabb won't return until Week 4

Eagles fans will have to wait a few weeks this season to welcome (or boo) Donovan McNabb’s return to Philly.

The Birds won’t get their dream match up with the Skins in Week 1, reported NBC Washington. That honor will go to Green Bay as they fight for a win at the Linc in what will be a 50th anniversary rematch of the Eagles' NFL Championship win over the Vince Lombardi's Packers.

McNabb and the Skins will visit Philly on Oct. 3 to allow the McNabb healing fully begin and also to steal some thunder from the last day of the Phillies season.

McNabb spent his first 11 seasons in Philly until he was traded to D.C. on Easter Sunday. He holds many of the Eagles all-time passing records.

The Eagles will finish the regular season at home -- hopefully with a win -- against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles brass trumpeted that half the team's games will be nationally televised.

"Having eight nationally televised games is an incredible testament to the popularity of the team and the optimism about the Eagles on a regional and national scale," said Eagles president Joe Banner.
