Runyan on Where He'll End Up

Former Eagle Jon Runyan's cleared to play in two weeks and Coach Andy Reid hasn't ruled out resigning the right tackle.

Runyan flew back into town Monday night after seeing his knee specialist in Alabama. He has been out of commission for six-and-a-half months, rehabbing from microfracture surgery on his right knee. Runyan says he can get back on the field on August 24.

"I'm gonna see what I can get done this week and maybe next week we'll start looking around," Runyan told NBC10's John Clark. "The biggest thing now is to go out, start working on it, start pounding on it, see how it reacts, and then in two weeks, I'm able to run around and hit people."

Reid still has Runyan on his radar. The two talked recently at the funeral for Defensive Coach Jim Johnson.

"We have a pretty good idea of where he's at and we'll just see how things go," Reid said Sunday at training camp.

Big Jon says he'll be talking to lots of teams. As far as favoring the Eagles, even in a reserve role, it'll come down to one thing -- money.

"Ultimately, it comes down to what number's on that piece of paper. We'll see what happens."
