Casey, Jordan Get Callbacks From 76ers

The 76ers have interviewed Dallas assistant Dwane Casey and former Washington head man Eddie Jordan for a second time about the Sixers' coaching vacancy.

A person familiar with the decisions confirmed the interview on condition of anonymity because an announcement wasn't made, according to Yahoo Sports.

Casey and Jordan both interviewed with Sixers president/general manager Ed Stefanski in the past few days, according to the Daily News.

Casey led Minnesota to a 33-49 record in 2006-07 and was fired 40 games into the 2007-08 season. Casey spent this season on Rick Carlisle's staff in Dallas.

Jordan was let go by the Wizards early last season. He has a losing career record of 230-288 in parts of eight seasons with Washington and Sacramento.

The Inquirer reported Thursday that Stefanski also intended to reach out to Jeff Van Gundy and Doug Collins, although Stefanski hasn't officially contacted either.

The other known candidates are Boston Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau and Sixers scout Phil Ford.

The Sixers informed Lakers assistant Kurt Rambis this week he was no longer a candidate.
