Just like after many touchdowns in his career, Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb paid tribute to Michael Jackson over the weekend.

D-Mac was in Los Angeles when he posted his remembrance of M.J. on his Yardbarker blog.

“Like most of the rest of the world I am devastated by the news of Michael Jackson’s death,” McNabb wrote.

“Those who have followed my career know that I am a huge fan of the King of Pop. After many of my touchdowns, I have moonwalked or mimicked some of his moves…” wrote McNabb.

And just in case you remember how ridiculous and bulky some of those moves looked with all that equipment on McNabb had a message.

“Before you get ready to criticize those moves on a post, know that even I understand I couldn’t hold a candle to Michael when it comes to dancing. My dances were a mere tribute to Michael’s unbelievable ability to entertain,” he wrote.

McNabb also noted that there would never be anyone like the King of Pop.

McNabb was out in L.A. to shoot a commercial and attend a teammate’s wedding (Wonder if it was the Hank Baskett/Kendra wedding at the Playboy mansion.)

It won’t be surprising to see McNabb moonwalk after a score this season. Eagles fans should hope that McNabb gets to pay tribute to M.J. many, many times.
