Domonic Brown looked great Tuesday but he is still minor-league bound.

Ryan Howard hit his first home run of the spring Tuesday but the Big Fella wasn’t the big story as the Phillies downed the Tigers 6-1 in Clearwater.

Highly touted Domonic Brown made his start in right field count as he homered twice, leading Cole Hamels and the Phillies.

Brown launched a majestic solo shot off Tigers starter Justin Verlander in the second. Then he rocketed another shot off Phil Coke in the fourth.

The 22-year-old finished 3-for-3 with a walk and four RBI. He also added a spectacular diving catch in the field.

But, don’t expect Dom to start the season in Philly.

Brown, considered among baseball's best prospects, was reassigned to the minor league camp after the game, said the AP. He played at three levels last year and finished the season in Double-A.

Hamels was sharp as he held the Tigers to an unearned run and two hits in five innings. He struck out four and walked none.

Howard launched his two-run drive off Verlander.

Next up for the Phightins are the Yankees Wednesday at Bright House Field at 1:05 p.m.
