Au Revoir M. Biron

Free-agent goalie Martin Biron could be waving goodbye to Philly.

The Flyers seem primed to sign Ray Emery to take over No. 1 goaltender duties from Biron most likely leaving the 31-year-old Canadian tending net elsewhere next season, according to Roto World.

Biron along with fellow free-agent goalie Antero Niittymaki both want to return to the Flyers but that would be near impossible with Emery on board.

Biron wants a long-term deal and the salary-cap-challenged Flyers could balk at offering big money to a guy who might wind up as a back up.

So, right now the safe bet is that Biron will take his rather successful 29-19-5 record and 2.76 GAA elsewhere.

Of course, this could all change if the Fly guys go after Blackhawks' goalie Nikolai Khabibulin. The Fly Guys are in the running to land the prized goaltender but could balk because of what he will cost.

Should they land Khabi than Biron is certainly gone.
