Amanda Elmore got her start in rowing at Purdue University in 2011 after she was inspired by her brothers who also competed in rowing at Purdue. She was Purdue's Most Valuable Oarswoman in 2012 and 2013 before taking home gold in the World Rowing Championships in 2015. In 2016 she placed first again in the Women's Eight for the World Rowing Cup II in 2016. She currently lives and trains at the US Training center in Princeton, New Jersey.
