The cone of silence continues to surround the reported meeting last week between Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles.

No one seems to want to even admit it happened.

The Birds won't confirm it -- Camp Donovan won't confirm it.

McNabb's agent isn't commenting on any issues surrounding Donovan, said McNabb's agent Fletcher Smith.

The commotion got started Monday with an ESPN report.

McNabb might ask for a trade if the Eagles fail to upgrade their offense, according to the ESPN story.

The report added that McNabb and Smith met with Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid and President Joe Banner last week. The details of that meeting were revealed by a source, according to ESPN.

For now it seems that Tuesday is just another day in the McNabb drama that has played out since he was booed on Draft Day 1999.

Stick with NBC Philadelphia for all the Birds off-season stories.
