Akers Thanks Philly With Billboard

Gone but certainly not forgotten. Former Eagles kicker David Akers left a special parting gift to Philly.

Akers recently signed with the San Francisco 49ers after spending 12 years with the Birds.

He thanked the city for supporting him throughout his career with a billboard on northbound I-95.

Akers first announced that he was having the billboard put up via twitter last Friday.

Classy move Dave! Birds fans, be sure to show him plenty of love when the 49ers visit the Linc on October 2.
