But not for Adam Burish.
Moments after the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in Philadelphia, Burish had some choice words for the Flyer’s defensman.
“I think Chris Pronger is the biggest idiot in the league,” Burish said. “I can’t stand him one bit. I hope I never have to see him again. If I see him, I’ll punch him.”
Pronger was the object of scorn (and ridicule) among many Chicago fans. His on-ice performance gave the 'Hawks headaches for much of the series.
This city's animosity culminated with a Chicago Tribune cover depicting Pronger in a figure skater's skirt.
