76ers “Waive” Goodbye to Power Forward

The Philadelphia 76ers let power forward Rashad Jones-Jennings go on Monday morning, the team announced.

Jones-Jennings (6-foot-8, 230-pounds) played for FC Bayern München last season after going undrafted out of Arkansas-Little Rock in 2007, where he lead the nation with 13.1 rebounds per game in his senior year.

Long story short -- the guy swallows rebounds like Homer Simpson swallows donuts.

But Jones-Jennings’ waiving didn’t come as a surprise -- the Sixers were already pretty loaded at the forward position with guys like Elton Brand, Marreese Speights and Jason Smith already filling the power forward role.

Individual tickets for the regular season go on sale October 10 at 10 a.m. -- the same day as the Sixers’ open practice.
