VP Biden Speaks to Chief Justices in Delaware

Biden spoke Monday morning at the Hotel DuPont at a meeting of the Conference of Chief Justices.

Vice President Joe Biden says the rule of law is the source of America's exceptionalism and must be embraced by other countries around the world in order for them to achieve their full potential.

Biden spoke Monday morning in Wilmington at a meeting of the Conference of Chief Justices. The gathering marked the first time that the conference has met in Delaware.

Delaware Supreme Court Chief Justice Myron Steele is president-elect of the conference, an association that includes the top judicial officers from each state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Biden told the state judges that their work in enforcing the rule of law reinforces aspirations shared by people around the world to be treated fairly.
