Proposed NLCS Goatee Battle Pits NBC Vs. ABC

Things could get a bit hairy depending on who wins the NLCS

The Phillies and Dodgers square off in the NLCS and that normally means bets between governors and/or mayors but this time around political pundits might get into the act in the name of facial hair.

It would be the battle of talking heads if NBC political reporter Chuck Todd responds to ABC’s White House Correspondent Jake Tapper's challenge and puts his goatee on the line. Tapper dared Todd to shave off his goatee if the Dodgers prevail but Tapper would grow a goatee of his own if the Phillies came out on top.

Would Todd consider cutting off his famous red goatee in the name of baseball?

Don’t bet on this bet happening -- not by the hair of Todd's chinny chin chin. His goatee seemed off  the wager table.

"How does a friendly wager include something as personal and sacred as the goatee? I need more than 'I grow one' to take this bet. ... It's just not fair to the TV viewing public that their potential exposure to my second chin rests on the arm of Vicente Padilla,” Todd told Politico.

There was still no confirmation of the bet as of Thursday afternoon. The NLCS kicks off Thursday night in L.A.
