Pope Francis Names Auxiliary Bishop for Philadelphia Archdiocese

Pope Francis has named a Bucks County pastor an auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Philly.com reports a news conference was scheduled Tuesday to detail the appointment of Rev. Monsignor Edward Deliman.

The 69-year-old priest has been pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Bensalem.

As an auxiliary bishop, he'll help Archbishop Charles Chaput in meeting pastoral needs of the diocese. 

The news conference is set for 10 a.m. at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center in Philadelphia.
