More Women Accuse Philly Housing Czar of Sex Harassment

The embattled head of the Philadelphia Housing Authority is facing more sexual harassment allegations.

Housing authority board chairman John Street says two more women have come forward to complain about suspended executive director Carl Greene.

"They are sick of it, they have been afraid, and they have been frightened to death about all this, and now they see some light at the end of the tunnel Street told The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Street, former Philadelphia mayor, said the women don't plan to file formal complaints but came forward to put the incidents behind them.

Greene is undergoing medical treatment amid reports of financial woes and a series of sexual harassment allegations from former subordinates. The board put him on paid leave last week while they investigate.

"Mr. Street and I are quickly becoming adversaries, unfortunately," Greene's attorney, Clifford E. Haines, told the paper.

"John Street tells a newspaper reporter that he has some unknown person making some unidentified complaint about someone who has been in the press for weeks? I don't know where to go with that," said Haines.

Street said the two women came forward on their own. One is a current PHA employee and the other used to work there, according to Street.
