NJ's Christie to Reveal “Big Things” Agenda

Gov. will roll out budget priorities in D.C. speech

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie rolls out his reform agenda in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.

Gov. Christie will deliver an address to the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research (AEI).  The presentation is titled "It's Time to Do the Big Things."

The Governor will lay out the reform issues that will serve as the foundation for his February budget proposals.  Christie's belief in deep spending cuts is at the forefront of his administration's agenda.

He believes fiscal responsibility is the key to restoring the fiscal health of the state and sparking long-term growth.

Despite another foray onto the national stage in Washington to present his bold plans, Gov. Christie insists he will sit out the 2012 Presidential election.  He has not closed the door on a future run for national office.

The Governor has also unveiled a new "Christie Reform Agenda" webpage.  He's encouraging feedback from the public on the major issues in his State of the State Address in January -- education reform, fiscal discipline and pension and benefit reform.

Gov. Christie will deliver the FY 2012 State Budget Address on Feb. 22.  In his January State of the State Address, Christie made a promise about his next spending plan.

"I will guarantee you this.  It will be balanced, and it will not raise taxes," Christie said.
