Funeral services are set for Wednesday for former NJ Congressman John Adler.
Adler died Monday from complications from a heart infection. He was 51.
A visiting hour begins at 12:30 p.m., followed by services at 1:30 p.m. at Temple Emmanuel in Cherry Hill. Both are open to the public. Burial will be private.
The arrangements are being handled by Platt Memorial Chapels.
Adler, a Cherry Hill native, died from complications from a heart infection, for which he underwent surgery at the University of Pennsylvania hospital last month.
The democratic lawmaker represented the traditionally Republican 3rd Congressional District for one term in the U.S. House. He was defeated in Nov. 2010 by former Eagles lineman Jon Runyan.
Adler served in the NJ State Senate from 1992 to 2009. He was also a member of the Cherry Hill Township Council in the late 1980's.

His family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to either Cooper University Hospital or the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Adler leaves behind his wife, Shelley, and sons, Jeffrey, Alex, Andrew and Oliver.
