DNC Exceeds Its Volunteer Goal by Thousands

More than 16,000 interested volunteers have been recruited for July's DNC, the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee, or PHLDNC, announced Tuesday, two months before the start of the July convention.

PHLDNC in early February launched an online portal for volunteers. There are only 1,000 spaces available in the portal, PHLDNC said Tuesday. When the maximum is reached, the portal will close and PHLDNC will begin a wait list for additional interested volunteers.
