Bristol Township Council President Bob Lewis Dies

A longtime leader in a Bucks Community died over the weekend.

Bristol Township Council President Bob Lewis died Sunday in his Croydon, Pennsylvania home. the cause of death wasn't disclosed.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bob’s wife, Laura, daughter Susan, and his large extended family,” said Township Manager William McCauley III.

Lewis served a township commissioner in the 70s and 80s before becoming a council member in 2010. He took over as council president in 2012 as part of the “Pro Team.”

Flags at all township facilities will be lowered to half-mast to honor Lewis.

“Bob was a truly lucky man,” said Council Vice President Troy Brennan. “He had a wonderful family, he lived to see his dream come true, and he went out on top.”
