First State, 1st Voting (Online)

Virtual caucus gives Delaware voters a chance to ‘vote’ online

The Iowa caucuses on Tuesday mark the first formal chance for voters to have their say in the 2012 presidential process.

Not to be outdone, by the Hawkeye State, the News Journal has launched The First State Virtual Caucus online.

Delaware’s official presidential primary is set for Apr. 24. That’s the same day as Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island, by the way.

The News Journal favors giving First Staters the first shot at some online polling. The ‘voting’ opened at 8 a.m. and continues until 6 p.m.

The Iowa caucuses don’t happen until 8 p.m., with results coming in after 8:30 p.m.
