Search For Missing Woman Widens

On Sunday morning, dozens of volunteers continued the search for 23-year-old Christina Morris.
About 50 people lined the shores of Lewisville Lake in The Colony, around the marina at Pier 121.

Morris has not been seen or heard from for eight days.

Her family says the week before she went missing, she’d visited the marina.

However, the last images of Morris were recorded by a surveillance video system in a parking garage at The Shops at Legacy in Plano.

Her car was found parked in the same garage days later.

“We’ve just got to find her,” said Morris’ mother Jonni McElroy. “Eight days is a long time, it’s a long time.”

McElroy was joined by Morris’ stepmother Anna Morris, as well as other family members, as they searched for clues, including clothing, Christina Morris’ purse, cell phone or jewelry.

“Somebody has seen her, something is somewhere,” said Anna Morris. “We just need a little bit of information so that we can bring her home.”

By afternoon, the searchers said they believed the marina was a “false lead”.

They are turning their attention now to the Allen area, beginning a search centered at Allen High School.

Plano Police tell us Sunday their investigation has continued “night and day” all weekend long.
