Safety Watchlist Finds Stalling Complaints Over Fixed GM Cars

The parents of a woman who died in a Chevrolet Cobalt due to a manufacturer defect have created a safety watchlist about stalling in General Motors vehicles that have already been repaired but continue to exhibit problems.

GM is contesting its first civil case in consolidated litigation related to a deadly ignition switch defect that causes cars to stop running and stall. GM recalled 2.6 million vehicles earlier this year because of the defect and the claims program GM established reported that 124 people died in crashes potentially link to the ignition problem.

In response to NBC News' questions, GM has acknowledged that some of its customers have been reporting stalling problems in their recalled vehicles -- after getting the ignition switch repairs.

GM said that it was "very concerned" about these reports.
