Husband of Woman Found in Freezer Charged

The husband of a Texas woman found by her son dead in a freezer has been charged with providing her with methamphetamine.

Cecil Ray Huddleston is in Palo Pinto County Jail without bond charged with delivering a controlled substance causing death or serious injury. He's also held on a parole violation warrant. No attorney is listed in his jail booking sheet.

A Dallas County Medical Examiner's report says 38-year-old Shannon Herrin Huddleston died of methamphetamine use and hypothermia. She had apparently grabbed a coat before crawling into the chest-type freezer in the garage of her Mineral Wells home on Aug. 8. Huddleston's teenage son opened the freezer a few hours later looking for food and found his mother's body.
