Clinton Jumps to Nine-Point Lead Over Trump: Poll

The lead holds even with the major third-party candidates added to the mix

Hillary Clinton has jumped out to a nine-point lead over Donald Trump, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal national poll.

The Democratic ticket of Clinton and running mate Tim Kaine receives the support of 47 percent of registered voters, while the Republican ticket with Trump and Mike Pence gets 38 percent, NBC News reported. Last month, Clinton led Trump by a margin of 46 to 41 percent.

Clinton is leading among women, African Americans, all non-white voters, young voters and white voters with a college degree. Trump is being boosted by white voters, seniors, independents and white voters without a college degree. Both candidates are running almost even among men.

With the Libertarian and Green Party candidates added to the mix, Clinton still holds a nine-point lead over Trump.
