The first photos of the 28-year-old police officer who fatally shot unarmed teenager Michael Brown have emerged, Yahoo News reported and NBC News verified Sunday. The photos of the officer, Darren Wilson, were posted to his father's Facebook page on February 11 after an award ceremony for his son, who earned appreciation for his "extraordinary effort in the line of duty," Yahoo News reported. Ferguson police revealed officer Wilson's name Friday, along with surveillance video implicating Brown in a robbery at a liquor store shortly before he was shot by Wilson. The video's release, which was opposed by federal authorities and Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, sparked outrage from protesters, who said it was an attempt to distract from Brown's shooting death.
