Are the trash cans spilling over at your house? Philadelphia's Streets Department is opening several sanitation centers Sunday to help city residents get rid of any extra garbage after collection was can celled earlier this week.
"To afford residents an added opportunity to dispose of excess household trash and recycling, our Sanitation Convenience Centers will be open this Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.," according to a news release.
Officials with the Streets Department said they anticipate additional collection delays next week as there is a threat of more snow in the forecast.
The open sanitation center locations are:
Strawberry Mansion: 2601 W. Glenwood Ave.
Southwest Philly: 3022 S. 63rd St.
Manayunk: 300 Domino Lane, near Umbria Street
