Young Girl Rescued Off Rocky Outcropping Outside Philadelphia Museum of Art

A young girl was rescued off the rocky outcropping between the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Waterworks on Friday afternoon.

The girl, believed to be around 10 years old, was allegedly climbing on the rocks when she got stuck some 20 feet up and was scared to come down.

Firefighters responded with a ladder truck and were able to get the girl down safely. She was not hurt.

Climbing on the outcropping is prohibited and signs are posted next to the Schuylkill River Trail.

It wasn't clear if the girl was under parental supervision.
