Police are searching for a little boy who they say drove a car up the drive-through of a McDonald’s in Whitehall Township.
Employees at the McDonald’s on MacArthur Road told the Morning Call a boy who appeared to be 8 years old pulled up to their drive-through window on Monday shortly after 8 p.m.
“He looked like an 8-year-old,” said Stephanie Santos to the Morning Call. “Everyone was laughing because he was really little and he was driving.”
The employees claim the boy paid for a sundae, two double cheeseburgers and small fries before driving the car back onto MacArthur Road and heading north. They also claim two young men who appeared old enough to drive were also inside the car.
"He was very young," said Lieutenant Ribello Bertoni of the Whitehall Township Police Department. "Possibly as young as 8-years-old. All we have is a description, a black vehicle. By the time our officers got there it had gone south on MacArthur Road. But we were not able to locate the vehicle."
Police say they have the car's license plate number but have not yet found the owner. No arrests have been made.
