Teen flipped off motorcycle as it crashed on bridge

A teenager’s body was fished out of the Schuylkill River Wednesday morning after she was thrown off a motorcycle during a crash, according to police.

Rescuers searched the river following the crash on the Dannehower Bridge just outside Norristown, Pa.

Witnesses saw two motorcycles racing, weaving through traffic on Route 202 in West Norriton, Pa. Tuesday at around 9 p.m., police said.

The girl was riding as a passenger on one of the bikes when it crashed.  She flipped off of the bike and into the water, witnesses said.

The man operating the crashed motorcycle was flown to University of Pennsylvania Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are searching for the other motorcycle that took off after the crash.

That bike was black-colored with a white racing stripe. It also had a man driving with a woman as his passenger.
