Woman in Deadly Condo Fall May Have Been Looking for Dropped Phone

Philadelphia police say a woman who died after falling from a 12th-floor balcony at a waterfront high-rise may have been looking for a dropped cell phone.

Investigators say the 30-year-old fell at about 4:20 a.m. Friday and landed on a fourth-floor terrace of an upscale condominium near Penn's Landing.

Philadelphia police say she worked at a city gentleman's club. Sources tell NBC10 her name is Ngoc Tran Vo.

Authorities say she and a male friend called building management at about 4 a.m., hoping they could wake up the 4th floor neighbors to retrieve the cell phone.

They say management at the Dockside complex offered to call later in the morning.

Police say the 12th floor balcony railing where the woman fell is intact.

They are calling the death accidental.
