A Mays Landing woman got the surprise of her life after she won $1 million during a contest at an Atlantic City casino.
Donna Clopp won the loot after participating in a contest at Harrah’s Resort Saturday night. Casino officials say Clopp beat out 20 competitors to claim the prize money. She now joins two other women, Patricia Sheik of Lakewood and Dorothy Muller of Cherry Hill, to become an instant millionaire.
"I've been coming to Bally's and Atlantic City for the last twenty years, and what happen tonight is simply unimaginable," said Clopp. "This has been a trying year; my family has experienced two car accidents and so many bad things have just happened that I didn't expect something like this to come and change my life. I still can't believe this."
Clopp has been an office manager for an animal hospital in Camden for the last 25 years. She says she plans to use the money to help animals in need and to buy a new car.
