Police ID Woman Killed by Train

Police say the NJ Transit train was traveling from Atlantic City to Philadelphia.

Police have identified a woman who was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train last Saturday.

Police say Tara Everett, 51, of Tuckerton, was walking on the railroad in Galloway Township around 10:10 p.m. Suddenly she was struck by a train traveling from Atlantic City to Philadelphia. She later died from her injuries.

No one on board the train was injured though rail service was temporarily suspended. NJ Transit made arrangements for a bus service to take the 70 passengers on board the train to their final destination.
