Police say a robber armed with a knife targeted a woman while she was with her 2-year-old daughter.

Police in Montgomery County are searching for a man believed responsible for a frightening attack. A Hatboro woman says she was shoved into her apartment and robbed while she was with her young daughter.

The alleged attack happened around 10 a.m. Monday.

30-year old Marcella Martinez told police a man with a knife confronted her and her 2-year old daughter as they walked toward their apartment on 200 block of E. County Line Road. They had just put some trash in the dumpster.

“They came in and he pushed the door, and hit her with the door” said her husband Marco. “He hit them with the door in the face and then he was carrying a knife.”

The man then allegedly demanded money and ran off with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a tall and thin black male around 40-years of age. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black hooded sweat jacket with a zipper, black pants and black boots. Martinez also told police the man appeared to be homeless.
