Woman Intentionally Drives Into Valet Outside King of Prussia Restaurant: Police

A woman was arrested after police said she ran down a valet outside a restaurant and then fled the scene.

On Wednesday shortly before 4:50 p.m., Michele Simons drove to the valet stand at the Season 52 restaurant on North Gulph Road in King of Prussia. As a valet approached her, Simons allegedly snatched his cellphone out of his hand. When a second valet walked in front of her car to ask what was going on, the Plymouth Township woman rapidly accelerated, according to Upper Merion Township Police.

The 38-year-old woman crashed into the valet, throwing him up on the hood, investigators said. The valet hung on to the windshield for a short distance before he was thrown from the vehicle, which then fled the area at a high speed, according to police.

The valet suffered head injuries and was taken to Paoli Memorial Hospital. Officials did not reveal his condition.

After a description of the hit-and-run vehicle was sent out to all departments in the area, a Pennsylvania State Trooper spotted the woman driving erratically on I-76 westbound, according to investigators.

After several officers from multiple departments tried to pull her over, the car finally crashed into another vehicle in the parking lot of the Burger King on Swede Road in Whitpain Township.

Upper Merion Police arrested Simons and charged her with aggravated assault, robbery and other related offenses. She remained jailed Christmas unable to post $100,000 bail.
