Woman Survives Being Hit by Train

A woman survived being hit by a train on Thursday in the Holmesburg neighborhood of Philadelphia.

Philadelphia Police say that the 64-year-old woman was trying to commit suicide when the train hit her, sending her onto an embankment along Pennypack Creek.

Rescuers took her to Aria Torresdale Hospital where she remained in critical condition, police said.

The incident happened on the tracks near Tulip Street and Rhawn Avenue.
