Police ID Hit-and-Run Taxi Driver: Cops

The taxi driver involved in the death of an elderly Atlantic City woman has been identified, according to police.

Police have identified the cab driver involved in the death of an elderly woman in Atlantic City, according to the Prosecutor's Office.

Bu Do Jo, 88, was struck and killed while crossing the street in Atlantic City, according to police.

The accident happened on the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue around 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Police say Jo was struck by a taxicab driven by Jean Sene, 53, of Atlantic City. Sene then allegedly drove off after striking Jo who was then struck by a jitney passing by.

Jo died from multiple traumatic injuries, according to an autopsy.

Sene was later stopped and identified by police. He is charged with traffic and motor vehicle violations. No criminal charges have been filed against him at this time however.

Jo lived in an apartment building just a few feet away from where she was killed, according to neighbors.

Friends say she retired from Trump Plaza about two years ago, after working at the casino for 17 years.

The Atlantic County Prosecutors Office and Atlantic City Police Department are investigating the incident.
