Mom Gives Birth While Riding on SEPTA Train

SEPTA officials say the woman got off the train with the umbilical cord still attached.

A pregnant woman gave birth on a SEPTA train on Tuesday, according to SEPTA officials.

The new mother, SEPTA confirms to NBC10, gave birth while riding on the Broad Street Line Tuesday afternoon.

They say the woman got off the train at the Olney Station with the child, umbilical cord still attached.

After telling SEPTA police she had just given birth, they called for help and waited with her and her new baby until help arrived.

Mom and baby were transported to a local hospital and are both doing well.
