Woman Faces Murder Rap for Allegedly Stabbing Husband During Argument

A woman accused of stabbing her husband to death over the weekend in Philadelphia's Tacony section has been charged with murder, police said.

Officers were called to a house on Friendship Street near Tulip at 6:47 p.m. Saturday, according to police. When they arrived, they found 32-year-old David Wood in a second-floor bathroom, bleeding from multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics police said.

Police arrested Wood's wife, 49-year-old Deanne Fidyk, at the scene. Fidyk, police said, has been charged with murder and related offenses for allegedly killing her husband during a domestic argument.

At arraignment on Sunday, Fidyk was denied bail and scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Oct. 21, according to court records.
