A 30-year-old woman is dead after being brutally beaten with a hammer in North Philadelphia early Friday morning.
The attack happened just before 2 a.m. on the 1700 block of N. Stillman St.
The suspect alleges that she was being harassed by the victim and that the woman was trying to break into her home, according to police.
The suspect, who is claiming self-defense, has been arrested pending a full police investigation.
