A woman gets into, what she thinks is a cab, but quickly realizes her mistake when police say the men inside sexually assaulted her. NBC10's Na'eem Douglas reports from outside Special Victims Unit.

Police are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman in the Bella Vista section of the city Saturday.

Philadelphia Police say the woman was picked up by two men driving a white four-door sedan at 21st and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, just outside of the "Made in America" festival, around 6:30 p.m.

The woman told police that she got into what she believed was a taxi and that’s when the alleged sex assault took place, according to investigators.

Police sources tell NBC10 that the men dropped the woman off near 10th and Fitzwater Street in South Philadelphia.

Witness tell NBC10’s Na’eem Douglas that the woman appeared visibly shaken and had been crying before she was taken away by police.

The alleged incident is under investigation.
