NJ Transit will shut down service Monday night due to the winter storm which is expected to intensify overnight into Tuesday.
NJ Transit commuter service for bus, light rail and rail departing all major stations and terminals will end by 8 p.m., reaching their final destination by 10 p.m.
NJ Transit rail service will be shut down until Thursday, depending on track, equipment and infrastructure conditions. The last train will make all local stops.
NJ Transit bus and light rail service may resume Wednesday, depending on road and track conditions and snow-removal operations.
NJ Transit is also offering cross-honoring for customers from now until Wednesday, allowing customers to use their ticket or pass on an alternate travel mode, including rail, light rail, bus and private bus carriers.

AMTRAK suspended Northeast Regional and Acela Express service between New York and Boston Tuesday.
Empire Service (New York – Albany-Rensselaer, N.Y.), Amtrak Downeaster (Brunswick, Maine – Boston), Vermonter (Washington – St. Albans, Vt.) and the Springfield line (New Haven, Conn. – Springfield, Mass.), are all suspended, as well as Lake Shore Limited service between New York and Albany-Rensselaer, N.Y., and Boston and Albany-Rensselaer, N.Y., only.
Acela Express and Northeast Regional trains between New York and Washington, and Keystone Service (New York – Harrisburg, Pa.) will operate at reduced frequencies.
