Wilmington Man Robbed, Shot

Wilington man wounded in 'extremity'

Police in New Castle County are looking for a man who allegedly robbed and shot at a 28-year-old Wilmington man Saturday night.

Investigators say that the man, a resident of Wilmington, was walking near the intersection of Homestead Road and Bonwood Road in Alban Park when he was stopped and accosted by an unknown black man. Police say the man emptied the victim's pockets before shooting him and fleeing.

The victim was attended to by paramedics before being transferred to Christiana Hospital to receive further treatment. It is not known exactly where the man was shot, as investigators are only saying that he was shot in an "extremity."

The suspect is described as a black man standing five feet, eleven inches high and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing dark clothing and had his face concealed.
