Wilmington police arrested one of their own for allegedly having two wives.
Police say 45-year-old Officer Wilbur Justice was arrested Wednesday after Delaware Alcohol Tobacco Enforcement notified the Wilmington Police Department that a background investigation found Justice is married to two women.
According to the investigation, Justice was first married in 2008. In August 2012, Justice submitted false information on a marriage application that indicated that he was not married. He married another woman in September of that same year, the investigation revealed.
Justice has been charged with bigamy and related charges. Police say he has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
