Wildwood Hailed as ‘Best Shore Town' in NJ.com Poll

Famed for its legendary boardwalk, kid-friendly attractions and nightlife hot spots, Wildwood was awarded Favorite Shore Town in the Best of the Shore poll presented by NJ.com.

While pursuing the site, readers had the opportunity to nominate their favorite beach towns. NJ.com then complied a list of eight finalists from the results of the nominations, allowing readers to vote for their favorite.

After the polls closed, the Wildwoods came out on top by obtaining 34.49% of the votes. Lavallette took second place with 27.23% of the vote and Ocean Grove followed in third with 21.73%.

Overall, 1,344 votes were cast.

“We’re extremely honored to be recognized by the readers of NJ.com, a website with a strong concentration of readers in central and northern New Jersey, as their Favorite Shore Town,” John Siciliano, Executive Director for the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement & Development Authority (GWTIDA), said.

In the past year, Wildwood has also picked up several other noteworthy prizes including: TripAdvisor’s #1 Destination on the Rise in the U.S. for 2015” and Travel’s “Best Beach Town in America for a Classic Experience.”
